A one-of-a-kind start to your weekend
Registration closes: 12th January 2020
Mumbai is known for its hustle-bustle – the fast-paced life, the glitz and glam and the streets that never sleep. And while we romanticise this life in over drive, we rarely acknowledge the city’s mangroves which gently and unwittingly breathe life into the city.
Mangroves spanning 66 sq. km. cushion the city against flooding, protecting its shoreline and stabilising it. No wonder that then, mangroves are called the lungs of Mumbai!
Here’s your chance to get up close and personal with these gentle trees. The Institute of Indian Interior Designers, Mumbai Regional Chapter, has organised a walk in the Godrej mangroves.
Brace yourself for a one-of-a-kind experience. You can click photographs, sketch or simply explore the mangroves, as Ar. Leena Nimbalkar tells you everything about them. This enlightening walk will be followed by a hearty brunch.
